By clicking and holding the left mouse button on the boundary, you may drag and drop the range. Hovering your mouse cursor above the boundary will cause it to transform to the move symbol.

As soon as you see the symbol, drag and drop.

Adjust the range to B2:C5, as the image indicates:

Fantastic! We now have more room for data because of the additional space you have made.

Note: It’s critical to provide context for the data and ensure that the spreadsheet is simple to read. You can accomplish this by including text that clarifies the facts.

Now let’s add extra context to the data. Enter or duplicate the subsequent values:

Let’s now examine how to use cut and paste to shift data.

Cut and Paste

Values can be transferred between ranges simply copying and pasting them.

Use the hotkeys CTRL+X to cut and CTRL+V to paste. You’ll save time by doing this.

Note the range. A1:C5.

Once the designated region has been right-clicked, select the “Cut” command, which has scissors as its icon:

Copy and paste

Now let’s duplicate the cells back to A1:C5 from B6:D10.

Use the hotkeys CTRL+C to copy and CTRL+V to paste. You’ll save time by doing this. Give it a go!

Mark the range B6:D10.

Right click the marked area, and click on the “Copy” command which has two papers as its icon.
