Addition Operator

In Excel, addition also referred to as plus is represented by the + sign.

In Excel, there are two methods for adding. either by utilizing the SUM function or the + symbol in a calculation.

How to incorporate cells:

  1. Select a cell and type (=)
  2. Select a cell
  3. Type (+)
  4. Select another cell
  5. Hit enter

By typing (+) in between the cells, you can add new cells to the formula.

Adding Two Manual Entries

  4. Fill a range

Let’s see an example in which the fill function and absolute reference are used to add B(5) to the range A1:A10.
